The fine print
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 21, 2026
Short version: Woodshed collects nothing. It has no account, no server, and no analytics. Everything you import and create stays on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. Woodshed does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. There is no sign-in, no user profile, and no tracking or advertising identifiers.
Where your data lives
Your songs, loops, tags, cover art, and practice history are stored only in the app's private storage on your device. They are never uploaded to us — there is no "us" to upload to. Deleting the app removes this data. Any device backup (e.g. iCloud) is handled by Apple under your own settings, not by Woodshed, and the app's own Export Library backup goes only where you choose to save it.
Network use
Woodshed makes network requests only when you import audio from a link you provide — a direct audio URL, a Dropbox share link, or a Google Drive link (importing a shared Drive folder uses Google's public Drive API to list its files):
- The download goes straight from your device to that host. No Woodshed server sits in between — none exists — and no information about you is sent to us.
- Importing a local audio file from Files or iCloud involves no network at all.
Your use of any third-party file host is governed by that service's own terms and privacy policy.
Children's privacy
Woodshed does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above.
